Father Gregory Zannetti, newly ordained in May 2021, served at Saint James as a seminarian in 2017. He studied at the Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University and the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) at the North American College in Rome.
Before entering the seminary, Father Greg worked at ADP as a Client Service Representative and at United Health Group as a Quality Assurance Analyst. He graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. During his four years at Rutgers, Father Greg was a member of the Scarlet Knights Wrestling Club and was a two-time National qualifier and two-time Academic All American.
While in college, Father Greg read the Diary of Saint Faustina, which sparked his vocation to the priesthood. He was struck by her total dedication and devotion to God, but more importantly by God’s love for her and for all mankind. He also credits his grandfather’s example of prayer and devotion to the sacraments as a major influence in his early life. The priests for whom Father Greg served Mass as an altar boy also inspired his vocation
Father Greg describes his mission at Saint James as an opportunity to help everyone in the parish grow in love for our Lord and to humbly minister to the salvation of souls.
