Stations of the Cross are prayed every Friday during Lent at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel. This traditional devotion began with Saint Francis of Assisi and extended throughout the Roman Catholic Church in the medieval period. The objective of the Stations is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer, through meditating upon the chief scenes of Christ’s sufferings and death. On Good Friday, the Stations of the Cross are prayed outdoors at 2:30 p.m., before the Good Friday Liturgy, and again in the church at 7:00 p.m.
